Angry Anderson's challenge

Can you help Angry Anderson get the materials to build a youth centre in Ulladulla? Here is a list of what is needed and how you can help the project.

Ulladulla on the NSW south coast is just like hundreds of other small Australian coastal towns.

Great place for a holiday. Great place to bring up kids, only there's not a lot for kids to do here. But that's all about to change.

It is Angry Anderson's greatest challenge: "The idea is to build a 'you beaut' youth centre with a gym, 12-lane bowling alley," he said.

"This is how this challenge thing works: we need a stack of stuff, like if you have got 51,000 200-series masonry blocks, ring me.

The project is for the Dunn & Lewis Youth Foundation (dunnlewisfoundation.org.au), which was set up in memory of two local Bali Bombing victims.

"Look, it all comes back to money," Angry said. "A building of this size, hard pressed to complete it in 12 months."

Ulladulla is already saying thank you to Dick Smith for his donation. And there's at least a deal on the concrete.

"The thing about this project is that it so damn big," said Angry. "Most of the asks are way beyond what most companies can afford, but that doesn't stop you asking. As my granny said, 'if you don't ask, you don't get'."

"So we are off and running. I am going to be putting the squeeze on a heap of people and this centre is going to be up by October.

"And if you think you can help, have a look at the website, or get in touch." (see below)
