Rose Tattoo, Billy Thorpe, Diesel, Sarah McLeod, Noiseworks, Tim Gaze (Taman Shud/Ariel), Dave Tice and Chris Turner (Buffalo), Tim Rogers, Killing Heidi, The Original Angels Band, Ian Moss and The Radiators are the initial acts named who will perform for the Rock 'n' Roll Outlaw Benefit show to support Pete Wells.

Wells, the guitarist for Rose Tattoo, is battling prostate cancer.

"Pete is one of my oldest and closest friends - basically, he's family" said Tatts lead singer Angry Anderson in a statement. "We've been together for 30 years in a band, there's no way I wouldn't be there for him as I'm sure he would for me. Anything the rest of the band and I can do to help him out …"

When told of the benefit Wells stated "I'm totally overwhelmed by this love and generosity."

The Australian music community will gather at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Wednesday, 7 September, 2005 and play for their good mate.
